We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Project Accountant to join a growing General Contractor team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and can successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of Project Accounting experience within a General Contractor environment and possess a strong understanding of construction billing, project cost accounting, and AIA documentation.
? Minimum 5+ years of Construction Project Accounting experience
? Must have experience working for a General Contractor (not solely a subcontractor)
? Strong knowledge of AIA Billing, including:
? Ability to manage multiple projects at one time in a fast-paced environment
? Positive attitude with the ability to work effectively with various project managers and personalities
Experience with any of the following systems is highly preferred:
Candidates with experience implementing or transitioning accounting software platforms are strongly encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will understand the unique accounting and billing requirements of a General Contractor environment and be comfortable adjusting billing packages based on owner and contract-specific requirements. They will be organized, proactive, and capable of managing numerous active construction projects while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
